WhatsApp Calls Now Works For Some Users in UAE

In the UAE some smart phone users can now make phone calls with WhatsApp, Skype including other major internet apps, reported on Wednesday by Reuters News Agency. 

If you recall, WhatsApp Phone calls was previously banned in UAE, residents were forced to use paid apps such as Botim and other apps to make phone calls.

There are ongoing discussions to remove the ban totally from services like WhatsApp and Facetime as revealed by UAE Government - Cyber Security Head. 

The GCC cyber-security conference and exhibition in December last year, Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, the cyber-security head of the UAE government, said WhatsApp had been unlocked for a limited time for test usage before ban is totally lifted.
